RICK SOLOMON: Past and Present

Rick Solomon began singing as soon as he could stand by his dinner table and recite the blessings for wine and bread for the Friday night Sabbath.

At age 7, he sang in his Temple choir. In no time, he was learning to harmonize by ear.

Rick began his knack for songwriting in his early 20's, while attending college. Since then, he has written well over 100 songs. You can sample his first album, THE LATE, LATE SHOW, at www.solomonsings.bandcamp.com.

In the mid to late 70's, he was literally "singing for his supper" (and a salary with tips, of course) at the renowned Great American Food & Beverage Company (in West Hollywood, California). "Alumni" of the establishment include Katie Segal (of "Married with Children"), Rickie Lee Jones, and Severin Brown (brother of Jackson Brown).

From there, in 1985, Rick wrote the music for an off-Broadway musical, "Bagels," while living in the Broadway District of New York City. He was also the play's musical director and star lead character.

In the 90's, while building up his "Solomon, the Singing Jewelry Man" business, he created his "Around the World in 60 Minutes" one-man show. The show is a musical journey to various places in America, Europe, and Israel, with songs (in English) and jokes! He has an alternative show entitled "Solomon Sings Sinatra."

He performs for private parties, large social affairs, business banquets and fundraisers.

Rick not only has these shows ready to roll, but is a great Master of Ceremonies, catering his talents to what is needed and wanted for a successful event.

As a songwriter, Rick currently has penned two original songs, "Get Up Get Out Get A Life" and "Rockin' With The Ages" for the highly touted musical "The Beat Goes On" now playing in Hollywood, CA.

Rick is also in the formative stages of creating a new business utilizing his vast songwriting talents by creating "personalized" songs for budding relationships, weddings, namings, eulogies, etc.

Rick is also a fine actor and can do voice-overs with a large selection of foreign accents (if needed).
